August is International Canned Beer Month. Bottled beer gets 11 months to be in the spot light but August is the time to celebrate canned beer. From a 12 oz can to a keg, it all counts. Join the festivities and show up for the “Can Do” run. It will start at the Bilbo’s parking lot on Stadium Drive. The course will be on the gently rolling hills of the Winchell neighborhood and through the beautiful Asylum Lake Preserve. Post race merriment and awards will take place inside Bilbo’s. Food and drink will be available for purchase. There will be door prizes, awards for the top three male and female finishers in the beer division (21 and older) and awards for the top three male and female finishers in root beer division (under 21). A special award will be given for the best pair of knee high socks.
Can Do Active does not encourage, support or condone drinking beer before or while running. With its precious carbohydrates and caloric content beer is best used as a recovery drink. Run and drink responsibly.
